Projects completed by Mt Ararat Honors Biology Students in the Fall of 2017

This past fall, Honors Biology student from Mt Ararat High School chose a topic to research at the Cathance River Preserve. Working in 7 small groups, they chose research questions and collected scientific data to address these questions at least once a week in September and October at the Preserve. Projects included learning about the water quality of the Cathance River, salamanders, bats, vernal pools, river invertebrates, mammals and forest growth – using the FIG protocol.
